If so, you can’t miss Redding Sportsman’s Expo April 1st and 2nd at the Redding Civic Auditorium! All you could possibly want to gear up for the outdoors will be under one roof!
Everything from outdoor apparel to hunting, fly-fishing, boating, hiking, camping, kayaking, mountain biking and off-road utility equipment... just to name a few! We’ll have over 100 vendors!! Seminars by industry experts will feature instruction for fly-fishing, tying flies, casting and fishing for salmon, steelhead, trout, kokanee and bass. Seminars will also feature everything you need to know to be more successful hunting big game. There will be fun activities for every age, such as archery tag, a 260 foot zipline, and a rock climbing wall. Hunting and fishing films will be playing throughout the two-day event. We’ll have a beer garden for those 21+, and new local restaurant food vendors!!!!

We are kicking things off with a Frosty Fun Run which will include 2.5 and 4 mile race options through the Sacramento River Trail. The Fun Run is open to all runners and walkers and is $3.00 per racer. The Fun Run will also include prizes, food, drinks & lots of fun! Registration for Fun Runners opens at 8AM and the race begins at 9AM.
Doors to the Redding Civic Auditorium open at 10AM for the Redding Health Expo which offers free admission and parking for all.

The North State Symphony kicks off its brand new "NSS POPS!" series with a spectacular New Year's Eve concert at Redding's Civic Auditorium. On December 31, 2016, ring in the New Year "New York City style" with a gala event that's sure to become a Redding tradition. Enjoy light hors d’ouevres and a no-host bar with your balcony-level seat, or splurge on dinner seating in the lower level. Following a cocktail hour with live music, enjoy a symphonic pops concert conducted by Scott Seaton, featuring entertaining soloists performing beloved songs and music from "the city that never sleeps."
Soprano Olga Perez Flora and tenor James Flora will perform Broadway hits from West Side Story, "New York, New York," "Someone to Watch Over Me," and "Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better." For opera fans, they'll perform the famous drinking song ("Brindisi") from Verdi's La Traviata. Show-stopping pianist Hyperion Knight will play ragtime favorites and George Gershwin's jazz-influenced sensation for piano and orchestra, "Rhapsody in Blue."
Celebrate an early-evening New York City ball drop, Redding style, as the symphony plays "Auld Lang Syne," Then enjoy dancing and festive company for the rest of the evening.
